Christmas - Office Cheer (Boston Legal)

I took such crummy photos of these things before I wrapped them all. BAH! They were all SO CUTE in person.
Musical - Drowsy Chaperone - Show Off
It was another long day in the costume shop this afternoon. I'm sort of living my life there until all the craft jobs are done for the show. Then I will be free for the rest of the semester. *dances* I love being a part of this and being of such use. But I'm beyond tired and my knees hurt from standing so much.

But for your enjoyment and my bragging rights... progress photos. )

PS - I'm so excited about shopping with Kelly and Anna for bridesmaids dresses on Saturday!!

Audrey Hepburn - Holly in blue
I wanted to share my family's "new" mailbox that I've finally replaced out front. Inspired by Starry Night. Makes us stand out on the block. :)

And she's already scared one of my friends

Cosplay - Umi - They're Real
Here she is, in all her glory. I can't believe how much work went into this puppet. The dress alone was enough to drive me insane. I was surprised by how well her hair turned out and how well I was able to make her bones from Model Magic. Who knew I could sculpt bones for a puppet? (I mean she even has little knee caps!) She works a lot like Crow from Mystery Science Theatre, a rod puppet with a working mouth. I'm very proud of her, though I don't know what I'll do with her now. lol

Photo cut for your friends page protection. )

Cosplay - Umi - They're Real
Just thought I'd give you all a peek at my final project for Theatre Crafts. She's coming along well. Her dress is basically done, I have to finish her limbs, little more painting, finish the hair, make vertebrae for the neck. I think that's all. Who knows what else will pop up. She's a Mexican Dancer too. Oh boy! I wish I could have left her hair long and down, she was SO CREEPY then. lol
I walked down the street with out her wrapped up in a blanket/ A strange man on the street walked up to me, made her mouth go up and down, said she was cute, and asked where I bought it. Thanks strange man!

Star Brooch

fan and faces
Oh the interesting things I turn out from my theatre crafts class. This project was to design a brooch that was described in the play "Angel Street". The brooch's pin does some fancy secret movement in the back to open the brooch "like a star" which is where 9 small rubies are hidden. Exciting! I went for a more modern look, a'la a Star Trek communicator. lol But when it opens it does look like a star! Please forgive the messy foaming of the gorilla glue. I didn't know how much it would foam.

Rock Star! (me)
My wig is finished! I managed to get a lot done in my free time during the performances of Pride and Prejudice. My teacher thinks I should go into theatre crafts. lol "If that whole acting thing doesn't work out." He's trying to get me to work in the shop this summer. Sorry, but I'll be in England for a month!

Onto photos... )

Wig Project

Rock Star! (me)
I'm so proud of how this project is turning out that I wanted to share it with you guys. Our assignment was to read "School for Scandal" and then make a wig for one of the characters. Yay 18th century crazy wigs! But..... we can't use any hair or fake-hair on the wig. They can be made from ANYTHING! I could have gone much more off the walls, but I'm having fun with what I'm doing.

Da Wig... )
